trend: SAFARI

Everything safari is big for spring. Khaki rules supreme when it comes to the safari look. Jackets, vests, shorts and shirtdresses all translate to safari when hued in khaki and paired with a belt. Try wearing a belted jacket or vest with trouser jeans and a loose top. Or try one of the easy safari inspired shirt dresses and pair them with a pair of flats or gladiator sandals. Accessories abound when working with the safari look. Try an armful of bangles, a global scarf, or metallic and snakeskin details. Here's some of the best:

I Gotta Have You: Marc by Marc Jacobs Dr. Q Colorblock Pouch

Wristlets are perfect for when your on the go and you only need the necessities. Everywhere I go it seems that every girl over the age of 13 has a little Coach wristlet. It's almost a rite of passage. Although I absolutely adore the little C accessories, this new Marc by Marc Jacobs wristlet is so different and refreshing. It's burgundy, pink, and red colorblock combination is unusual but so right. Patent leather and a logo plate add to the pouch's charm. This is standout Marc style!

Top 10 Fall Fashion Colors for 2008

"Fall is traditionally a time for subdued, quiet colors, but this season we are seeing a shift toward cool hues with bright, exciting undertones," notes Leatrice Eiseman, the exective director of the Pantone Color Institute - the research arm of the color forecasting giant - which just released its Fashion Color Report for Fall 2008. "Conventional tones such as warm autumn hues, chocolate browns and steel grays are also among the fall color choices. Blue and purple tones have become staples, as illustrated by Blue Iris, one of the top 10 colors chosen by designers this season, and Pantone's Color of the Year for 2008."

About the Top 10 Fall Fashion Colors for 2008:

Blue Iris (Pantone 18-3943) a balanced blue with undertones of purple
Royal Lilac (Pantone 18-3531) red undertones give this hue heat & drama
Shady Glade (18-5624) true green, unlike the yellowish greens of recent seasons
Caribbean Sea (18-4525) extremely popular choice in jewelry & accessories
Aurora Red (18-1550) true, energetic red
Shitake (18-1015) understated yet complex
Withered Rose (18-1435) pinkish with brown undertones - the palette's universal neutral
Twilight Blue (19-3938) its twist on classic navy bridges spring into fall
Burnt Orange (16-1448) a steady background that's gaining prominence
Ochre (14-1046) mellow yellow with a hint of mustard, lightness & spice

GRAMMY GIRLS: Faith Hill

Country superstar Faith Hill was the epitome of sophistication in her one-shouldered Valentino black gown and sleek coiff. Tre Chic!

GRAMMY GIRLS: BEYONCÉ

Singer Beyonce slightly resembled an ice skater in her pale blue tulle and silver beaded Elie Saab haute couture gown. She also revealed her shorter blonde hair. I like the dress but the tresses were a little casual beach hair for me. A sleek, more sophisticated 'do would have done the gown more justice.

GRAMMY GIRLS: Rihanna

Rihanna looked fabulous on the red carpet tonight. Her bright cobalt blue Zac Posen dress was fun, edgy, and trendy. Rihanna is such a trendsetter on the red carpet and off. Her nails are pretty fierce too.

GRAMMY GIRLS: Fergie

Fergie's Calvin Klein dress is perfect for her. The simple lines and the sunny yellow do nothing but flatter the popstar's figure. Great choice Fergie!

GRAMMY GIRLS: Natasha Bedingfield

Singer Natasha Bedingfield wore a stapless Reem Acra purple gown at the Grammys tonight. The look was very old Hollywood, especially with her hair in the soft curls. I like it!

GRAMMY GIRLS: Carrie Underwood

Country singer Carrie Underwood rocked an embellished gown by Zuhair Murad. The gown was floral, flirty, and fabulous.

GRAMMY GIRLS: Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys looked positively radiant in her Giorgio Armani Privé navy satin gown and pink accessories. I'm not sure whats going on with her hair, but her look is so stunning I quickly forget. I love the navy and pink combination!

GRAMMY GIRLS: Miley Cyrus

Disney star Miley Cyrus dazzeled on the red carpet with her Celine 20's inspired party dress and silver Sergio Rossi heels and clutch. Although I'm not a huge fan of the overall look, she does look pretty and age appropriate.

GRAMMY GIRLS: Corrine Bailey Rae

Beautiful songstress Corrine Bailey Rae attended her first Grammys Awards tonight. Rae wore a bright blue strapless dress with floral pailettes. The dress definitely is a nod to the floral and bright trends for spring. The color looks great on her, but I'm not loving the wide belt.

Grammys Tonight!

The Grammys are tonight! I will be posting all the red carpet hits and some misses. Come back later tonight and check it out!

Ooh La La: ANNE HATHAWAY

Actress Anne Hathaway is pictured at the Marchesa fashion show during New York Fashion week. Hathaway added a little edge to her ballerina-inspired bubble dress with a leather jacket, black clutch and strappy wedges. I love the way she toughened up her otherwise frilly outfit with the black leather jacket. She looks so feminine and put together. Amazing outfit!

Cover Me: Jessica Alba for Latina Magazine

A golden Jessica Alba covers March's Latina Magazine. Her soft, bronzed look is lovely.

New Look: Lindsay Lohan

Breaking News: Lindsay Lohan has finally dyed her tresses back to an auburn brown. By simply changing her hair color she seems to have taken 10 years off her look. The tired blond was not working for her. So much better Linds!
Oh my godness, I just noticed no leggings. Amazing.

Cheap Thrills: Delia's Dottie Pump

These adorable pumps ($34) are perfect for polishing an otherwise plain outfit. Plaid fabric adorns the upper half of the pump with tiny pleats around the top. These would be great with jeans or a short dress. Available in two plaids, navy-orange and pink-teal. The multicolor pink and teal pair are especially good for spring. Go get it!

I Gotta Have You: Armani Exchange Wrap Tie Belt Jacket

I love this jacket! After seeing pictures of actress Minka Kelly wearing this adorable jacket this week, I looked all over the web trying to find it. Found! At Armani Exchange it is available in both grape and black. I personally like the grape. The button details and the wrap belt stand out better in the lush purple. This would be a great outfit simply worn as Minka did. The collar for one looks much better Minka-style. However, you could get creative and add a yellow v-neck or scarf. So many options for this awesome jacket!
