Wanted: Anything Orange!

Orange my friend, is not for the faint of heart. Orange demands attention, a bold look at me! However, if you can carry it off, orange is divine. It looks exceptionally great on brunettes. This color brings up good memories of summer and fun. Try a little bit of orange with a hand bag, a head band, or a bangle. For more of a pop, try the hue in a dress or blouse. Orange cardigan...GREAT idea. Here's a few:

I Gotta Have You: Gap Yellow Skinny Lizzard Belt

I love this belt. Its the perfect subtle pop of color to introduce into your wardrobe for the spring. The little yellow number will look great with some dark wide leg jeans, or over a cardigan cinching the waist. Available at the Gap ($25) this belt is a little treasure!

Ooh La La: Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham, here with Dita von Teese and Claudia Schiffer, was seen front row at Roland Mouret’s haute couture spring/ summer 2008 show in Paris. Victoria looked perfectly chic (and tan) wearing her sunnies with the girls. Viva Victoria!

Ooh La La: Ashlee Simpson

Wow! Ashlee Simpson looks great! The bright pink TopShop jacket is amazing. Her new hair color is worth mentioning too. Keep up the good work, Ashlee!

I Heart Your Style: Eva Mendes

Eva Mendes is a style vixen! This Cuban fashionista barely ever experiences a fashion mishap. She has no problem experimenting with bold colors and carries them exceptionally well. Ms. Mendes manages to remain one step ahead of the trends all while keeping her outfits clean and crisp. Dresses appear to be one of Eva's style staples. I adore how she always looks so put together and fresh. There is alot to learn from this woman!

Wanted: Statement Bangles

Bangles are reentering the spring season as the accessory to have. They are fun to collect and look so pretty on your arm. These bangles, however, are not the thin gold ones of seasons past. No no, these are definitely statement pieces. This season many designers are going bold. Whether you favor a solid, classic look or a loud logo, there are plenty of bangles to go around!

Here are a few good choices:

Wanted: Florals

The cutesy floral dresses of our childhood days are back! Floral patterns are making a huge entrance into the spring/summer collections of almost every designer. The whimsical nature of floral dresses makes any girl feel extra feminine. These dresses are easy to pair with sandals or flats and a long necklace. A floral blouse looks fresh with a pair of white jeans. A solid bright bag is a great complimentary piece when wearing the trend. Flowers big and small will make your outfit stand out. However, make sure not to take it overboard. Flowers are beautiful. But like anything, there is such thing as too much of a good thing. Here are some good floral dresses:

I Gotta Have You: Totes Rihanna Satin Umbrella

Where I currently reside and attend school it is presently freezing and raining. Now freezing I can do, but freezing plus rain, that's just not fair. To make matters worse I have to walk a lot on campus. A lot and far. I came across a problem when I realized I have no umbrella! No umbrella, not even one. So in spirit of the cold, rainy bad weather I set out to find a great umbrella, and fast. I present to you the Totes by Rihanna Satin Stick Umbrella ($25). Its sleek, shiny (but not plastic-y), and promises to keep you dry. (yes! yes! yes!) You will look so put together and chic wherever you may go. Now, next time its pouring, I'll be ready!

So Sad: Lily Allen Suffers Miscarriage

British pop star and fashionista, Lily Allen, has just suffered a miscarriage. People magazine elaborates:

According to the rep's statement, "We can confirm that Lily Allen has suffered a miscarriage. She and her partner Ed Simons will be making no further comment and we ask that their privacy be respected during this difficult time."

I am a huge fan of Lily's and at a loss for words on this tragic event. My sincerest thoughts and prayers go out to Lily and Ed. Stay strong!

Wanted: Yellow Shoes

Yellow shoes are popping up everywhere for the spring. Pumps, flats, peep-toes, all are being offered in the cheery color. They will go great with the floral trend or a great pair of jeans. Go get some yellow on your feet! Here's a few of my favorites:

Posh + Marc

Victoria Beckham is the fresh new face in the hilarious new Marc Jacobs ad campaign. She is featured in a shopping bag, as well as a Marc Jacobs box. Love, Love, Love!

For the record, when it comes to Posh, I don't know what Mr. Blackwell is talking about.

Wanted: Blue Iris

Last Month Pantone forcasted the color of the year for 2008. The color, Blue Iris, is a beautiful purple-blue mix. More From Pantone:

"From a color forecasting perspective, we have chosen PANTONE 18-3943 Blue Iris as the color of the year, as it best represents color direction in 2008 for fashion, cosmetics and home products," explains Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. "As a reflection of the times, Blue Iris brings together the dependable aspect of blue, underscored by a strong, soul-searching purple cast. Emotionally, it is anchoring and meditative with a touch of magic. Look for it artfully combined with deeper plums, red-browns, yellow-greens, grapes and grays."

Although this color can seem tricky, there are many ways to integrate it into your wardrobe. Pairing it with yellow or grey is a good start. And there is always white! Gold accessories would definitely shine opposite Blue Iris (Juicy Amore earrings anyone?). I've already witnessed Blue Iris trickle to the retail masses. Here's a couple good items.
