New York Fashion Week Spring 2009, Looks to Love: BCBG Max Azria

New York Fashion Week Spring 2009, Looks to Love: Diane von Furstenberg

MTV Video Music Awards: Lauren Conrad

Fashion darling Lauren Conrad walked the red carpet in a sexy white mini-dress. Soft braids, silver peep-toes, and a silver clutch rounded out Lauren's look.

MTV Video Music Awards: Audrina Patridge

MTV reality starlet Audrina Patridge looked nothing short of gorgeous in a gold sequin dress with a chiffon bubble layer, gold sandals, and clutch.

MTV Video Music Awards: Rihanna

Rihanna posed on the red carpet in a strapless, bustier-style top, funky asymmetrical skirt and white T-strap pumps.

MTV Video Music Awards: Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera seemed to be channeling a darker, goth look very reminiscent of Elvira. The pop star sported blunt bangs and dramatic eye makeup along with her black, sparkly dress. Not bad, but definitely not Christina's best look!

MTV Video Music Awards: Bar Refaeli

Model Bar Refaeli hit a fashion home run in a simple, yet incredibly slinky grey jersey dress by Hurley. Bar accessorized the look with a eye-catching layered necklace by Badgley Mischka. Love it!

MTV Video Music Awards: Heidi Montag

The Hill's villianess Heidi Montag struck gold in studded Gucci booties. That dress however, is all types of wrong and lacks major fit. It seems as if she is wearing her boyfriends oversized shirt. Not good Heidi, but we love the shoes!

MTV Video Music Awards: Lindsay Lohan

A soft, strawberry blonde Lindsay Lohan walked the red carpet in a short silk dress by House of Holland and uber fierce purple Yves Saint Laurent Tribute platforms.

MTV Video Music Awards: Ashlee Simpson-Wentz

A glowing Ashlee Simpson-Wentz went the safe route and chose a draped black jersey dress and diamond bangles for the occasion. You gotta love the contrast between all that black and her hair and eyes!

Hot Bag: Marc Jacobs Stam Ostrich Tote

Marc Jacobs transformed the recognizable Stam "it bag" and updated it for fall in lux light pink ostrich leather. The silver detachable chain almost sparkles in contrast to the soft detailed leather. Fiercely fabulous, this handbag would work beautifully with all of fall's trendy greys and blacks. A little bit of luxury for your day to day life.
Available at Net-a-Porter.com ($5,500.00)

Cheap Thrill: Francie Striped Satin Top at Forever 21

Chic and of the moment, this sleeveless satin blouse by Forever 21 is a fashion find. With it's bold print, high neck collar and self-tie neck sash it exudes style and sophistication. Put it together with a pair of denim trousers, a grey long cardigan, and a great pair of heels for a fierce outfit. Go get it!

Available at Forever 21 ($15.80)

Trend: Statement Jewelry

The absolute number one accessory trend for Fall 2008 has to be Statement Jewelry. These large necklaces with big baubles, and hefty chains ruled the runway and could be seen in almost every collection. Of course, each designer had their own take on the trend with some focusing more on architecturally inspired jewels and others on florals and stones. The key to this trend is in it's name, Statement Jewelry. Try slipping one of these necklaces over a solid shift dress or a simple cardigan. Add on over a sweater or a simple tee. The important thing to remember is limit all other accessories and keep the necklace the focal point of your outfit. A bit of glam goes a long way. Here is some of the best!
