Trend: Blazers

The structured preppy blazer is one of Fall 2008 most noticeable trends. Undoubtedly influenced by the fashions of Gossip Girl, fashion designers have interpreted many of the show's key style choices and given them their own spin. Basic blazers of old have been re-vamped with ruffles and oversized collars, embroidered crests, and chic buttons. While the basic black blazer remains the standard and is definitely the most obvious choice, other options in various colors, fabrics, and prints are also widely available.
